The Limassol diving community have spent hundreds of hours constructing an artificial reef and hideaways. Along with the naturally occurring sea grass covered mounds, this work has meant this once nearly barren region of Limassol Bay now teams with sea life.
The Cars dive site is now home to a wide variety of sea life, including crustaceans, mollusks, octopus, and numerous species of fish, including stripped grouper and angler fish.
