Chains
Named for the heavy duty steel chains, some with links up to two thirds of a metre long, which crisscross the site, the Chains dive site is located slightly less than 2 miles east of Crest Dive Center's facilities at the St. Rafael Marina, adjoining the Works dive site. Ranging in depth from ten to fourteen metres, with numerous sandy bottom channels between sinuous, sea grass covered mounds over two metres high, Chains is an exciting and challenging dive site for both intermediate and advanced divers. The enormous chain links, thick sea grass, and soft sandy bottom make Chains an ideal home for crabs, shrimp, octopus, and numerous species of fish.
