Diving from the deck of the Queen Zenobia in Larnaca Bay, Cyprus
The best scuba diving experience in Cyrus is exploring the wreck of the Zenobia. Acknowledged as one of the top five wreck dives in the world, the Zenobia is not to be missed.
The Zenobia was a Swedish roll-on, roll-off (Ro-Ro) ferry carrying cargo and fully laden lorries when she sank. More than 100 of those lorries were shackled in place when she went down. The Zenobia displaced more than 10,000 tonnes, and looks very much like the vessels that sail the route between Dover and Calais today.
The wreck is more than 178m in length, and now rests on its port side. With a maximum depth of 42m to the sandy sea-bed, the top rail of the wreck is at 16m.
A member of the Safari Support Team from Crest Dive Centre will collect you from your hotel in the morning and drive you to Larnaca Harbour. There, you will board the spacious Zenobia Queen, a roomy dive boat with interior cabin, toilet facilities, and a large dive deck, where there is plenty of room for kiting up.
On board the Zenobia Queen, your PADI certified Dive Leader from Crest Dive will give you comprehensive pre-dive briefings before expertly guiding you through two dives on the spectacular wreck of the Zenobia.
After your dives, you will enjoy a hot lunch on board the Zenobia Queen during the leisurely cruise back to Larnaca Harbour.
